....the tools of persuasion I found in this commercial were:
bandwagon: they used their product. plain folks: the family was full of regular people, no famous actors warm and fuzzy: family is together in their house. the background music was also calm and soothing symbols of family: at first the daughter didn't seem to like her father but towards the end you see she really loves him and has lots of photos of the two of them together. the message i found was: an underlying message: even though the daughter was growing up and started to become more distant with her family, she still needs them. in this commercial, there were also cultural norms shown by hetrosexual parents, and the mom does the cooking and made the kids lunches. the family was a middle class white family. This commercial also stereotypes teenagers. |
hyperbole: the quote " its possible to have it all" is a representation of hyperbole
nature: there water in the back behind the products, water is a form of nature celebrity: the ad uses actress jennifer gardner to atract buyers scientific: the ad is considered scientific because it says its #1 dermatologist recommended |
